Family bonding.

The car's all packed, and  we must be ready to go as we can't fit anything more in...even the dogs are on laps till we can drop them off en-route at some kennels. It's a great opportunity for some enforced family time. I love it!

Spider!

Warming himself on the glow of the salt candle a spider hung around in our living room for about a week....probably until the salt started to have some adverse effects.

Colour Run

The colour Run in Victoria Park was a riot of smiles, fitness freaks and of course masses of pulverised coloured powder spray in pink yellow green blue and orange.  What fun!

Glass art

An example of Giles Bettison's fabulous work with glass.

Turner at the Gallery

Like many artists Turner started out his brilliant career painting on canvas what he saw in reality, but by the end his paintings were more about subtlety and light, letting the viewer interpret and imagine the detail. Here is an example...

First rain.

The first rains paint a portrait of colour with the pavement, wet grass, and the autumn leaves.

The sweetest and the last

As the grape growing season comes to the end, and the vines turn the hills golden, only a few bunches of grapes remain, but they're oh so sweet.

Taking a moment

When the opportunity arises to sit back and relax, Andrew knows exactly what to do.

Moments before melt down...they just don't make camping cookware like they used to.

Morning tranquility

The tranquility of Horseshoe lagoon, away from the main river traffic  while exploring the Ral Ral creek system.

The path of rainbows

Alighting from the lift at the Adelaide Central Market I had the chance to follow this beautiful rainbow path...so fleeting in its existence.

Joy in a bubble

The simple act of creating giant bubbles in the Mall provided so much happiness and entertainment in the Mall it was a joy to watch

The Silver balls reflect the Mall's entertainers

Pipe guy

This innovative musician has made his instrument with plumbing parts.

Marsupial Neighbours

This giant Kangaroo is a local resident that the dogs and I meet regularly on our morning walks.
Government House opened to the public on Sunday in glorious sunshine to allow us all to mix with the Governor himself and raise funds for Red Cross. Lots of folk were out too in period dress even some tiny ones.

Smile!

Even the simulation of an emotion tends to arouse it in our minds. ~Charles Darwin.

Out of adversity..a new life

A lesson in resilience. With just a few roots left in the ground this tree is bursting with new life.

Scary prospects

It's on again...the "Cruiser Cup" and parents are banished.
Apologies to the neighbours in advance.

Easter surfing.

Giant seas with Easter tides did not keep these brave boys out of the surf  despite being surrounded by craggy rock. The huge swell had people surfing all the way down to "dump" beach. Spectacular!

Holidays

You know you are on holidays...especially a long break like Easter when the Jig-Saw puzzle comes out.

Heading to Ginger's

The street walls of Ginger's coffee studio are also painted to entice you inside...for more than just coffee?
