Must be delicious

The flowers along the trail at Kosciusko were covered in bugs...feasting!

Kosciusko beauty

The butterflies were abundant as we hiked over Charlotte's pass.

Thredbo

The summit of Thredbo appears ghostly with all the trees denuded of foliage, a result of fire(?), drought(?), disease(?), I',m not sure but the vistas were magnificent nonetheless.

Blow out!

The pop up blew a tyre so fiercely that it blew a hole in the bottom of the van. Then we didn't have the correct socket for it to change it.. So had to limp into the nearest town with the resultant tyre shredded.
We borrowed a socket  and replaced the shredded tyre with the spare...which also blew out, forcing us to leave the van on the side of the road while we went in search of replacements.
Two new tyres later we were back "on the road again".

Mushroom gold.

Ok work it out...at $78/30gm that means that truffles retail for a mere $2560/kilo!!!!!

Snapseed

Checking out a new App Snapseed allows manipulation of your photos while still on your phone...and can do some wild things to an image.

Sentinals

Two gulls stand sentinel as the wave crash over the rocks at Chiton.

Heads up.

Bodhi is

starting
to shoot...

Sponged Colour

Amazing but authentic brilliant orange sponge washed up on the beach @ Basham's.

Harvest Festival

The bag pipes and children's parade blessed the up-coming harvest at the "Harvest Festival" at Mclaren Vale on the weekend...must be some Scottish back ground there that I don't know about

Shortest railway

The shortest railway in the world(?) at Stockwell where the track only crosses the road, then stops. Pepper's looking for trains, but being blind and deaf she's  a bit confused.

Jigsaw

Worth framing when finished.

Illusionists

The Illusionists were in town to amaze, thrill, amuse and perform death defying feats of magic and Houdini-like escapology. Awesome!

Camping in style

As our trial for the trip to NSW  with the camper we set up at stockwell while we did the stocktake. What more do you need...the foxy lady lounge chair carefully positioned in front of the industrial air conditioner, surrounded by sheds stocked to the ceiling with fab wines, and the handy facilities, basic though they are, just a stone throw away. If only some one could have silenced the roosters from 4.30 am it would have been perfect.

Sooo hot!!

It was so hot in the camper today (44 degrees) that the candle melted onto the table without even being lit. We were melting too as we did the stocktake.

Aussie summer

Classic Aussie summer scene, the vast blue sky and the burnt yellow of the recently harvested wheat fields stretching to the horizon.
