Beachside cruisin'
As a rare passenger in this car dabbling with photography while someone ELSE is driving has its appeal.

Cycle Clown
The "Tour" is not just for those in lycra as this clown entertained the 100s of kids lining the streets of Norwood to watch the start of the next leg of the race.
Wonderful atmosphere and great publicity for our fine state.

The Tour Down Under hits Stirling
In perfect weather the "Tour Down Under" left Loebethal and did the mandatory 150 kms which included 3-4 laps around Stirling.
The crowds were revved as a new young blood from Uni S.A was way out in front (11 minutes) with the potential to not only win the leg but take out the entire "Tour" in the one race as his lead was so great.
Amazingly the Pelaton caught up with him in the final 2 laps leaving him a mere one minute lead at the finish.
Well done Will Clarke from Tassie...a previously unknown rider who only just made it onto the tour at the last minute.

Pylons from the past
These old pylons are all that remain of the jetty built in 1853 and extended to 145 metres in 1857 when Port Willunga was one of the busiest ports in the young colony of South Australia

Keeping it close to home
Cosy front yard camping at Port Willunga in the pop-up so we can check out what we need/don't have for the next more adventurous sojourn.
Reuinion time
So great to catch up with the Brummitt twins, Jules and Ros, at Port Willy, after too many years. Fabulous! Fiercely competitive and fun articulate opponents too.

Spiders
This year for some reason the spiders have been thriving and hence the task of cleaning cobwebs seems endless. I feel a little
uncomfortable
though when hundres of babies are kiled in the process as the daddy-long-legs everywhere have been breeding like crazy.

Camper renos
Having "acquired" a pop-up camper from the generous Prescotts we are now busy renovating, repairing, and cleaning in anticipation of a camping trip to try it out.

Thirsty Koalas
Already the koalas are thirsty.
On the ground looking for water.
It may be another difficult summer for them.
